Ms. Yates is a paralegal in the Biotechnology Group where she supports the prosecution of U.S. and foreign patents. While earning her Bachelor of Science in Women's Studies at the University of Michigan, Ms. Yates studied microRNA's role in tumor expression in Glioblastoma multiforme brain tumors, culminating in a publication in Brain Pathology. She also worked at the Maternal Infant Health Program while in college and wrote her graduate thesis on the effects of gestational diabetes in infants.
