Eric Jung, Ph.D.

Technical Specialist

Eric Jung is a Technical Specialist in the Electronics group, where he is involved in patent preparation, prosecution, and litigation work. His areas of expertise are wireless communications, signal processing, networking, and the LTE and UMTS cellular systems. His doctoral research focused on wireless communications and frequency-hopping "cognitive" radio.

Prior to joining Sterne Kessler, Dr. Jung was a member of AT&T Labs, where he was responsible for applied research projects for both the UMTS (3G) and LTE (4G) systems. His focus was on voice and data performance for cellular and other wireless technologies such as Voice over LTE (VoLTE), Voice over WiFi, and IR.94 Video Calling. He also has significant experience with Radio Access Network analysis for mobile network performance features such as handover and cell coverage optimization.

Dr. Jung is a member of IEEE and the Phi Kappa Phi honor society, and was the recipient of the U.S. Department of Education Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN) Fellowship. He has served as a reviewer for several IEEE technical journals.
