Dr. Li is a registered patent agent in the firm's Biotechnology/Chemical Group, where she assists in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications; aids in the formulation of invalidity opinions; conducts patent portfolio analysis and performs patent landscape searches. Dr. Li's areas of interest include chemistry, nanotechnology, biotechnology, semiconductor materials, electronic devices, and clean energy.
Dr. Li has a broad technical background. She studied chemistry, nanotechnology, materials science and electrical engineering at the University of Pennsylvania and Tsinghua University. At the University of Pennsylvania, she conducted research on design, synthesis and application of novel organic and inorganic nano materials for high efficiency electronic devices. At Tsinghua University, she worked on research projects on nanocatalysts for fuel cells in a National Key Laboratory.
Dr. Li also has three years of consulting experience. Her clients included a global medical technology company, a start-up company that designs websites for hospitals, and university technology transfer offices. She advised clients about technology evaluation, market research, commercialization strategy and business development.
