Mr. Stabler is an Associate in the Biotechnology/Chemical Group where his practice includes both domestic and foreign patent preparation and prosecution. He also assists in preparing patentability, infringement, and validity opinions.

Mr. Stabler has research experience in industrial, governmental, and academic environments. His industry research as a synthetic organic chemist in the crop protection division of a Fortune 100 company concentrated on herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides. Mr. Stabler additionally conducted basic and applied research of sustainable adhesives, epoxies, and resins in the Coatings, Corrosions, and Engineered Polymers Branch of the Army Research Laboratory.

As a student at RPI, Mr. Stabler focused his research on small molecule organic synthesis of carbohydrates under the guidance of Dr. Robert Linhardt, and his thesis was titled "Sialic Acid as a Tool for Vaccine Development." He was presented the Arthur G. Schultz award for Undergraduate Research in Organic Chemistry, the Rensselaer Medal for Math and Sciences, and his thesis was nominated for the Class of 1902 Award.

During his legal studies, Mr. Stabler was affiliated with the IP Law Society, Environmental Law Society, and Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. He also competed for the Temple Law team at the IP LawMeet transactional competition.

Prior to joining Sterne Kessler, Mr. Stabler worked at a boutique intellectual property law firm in Philadelphia, PA where his practice included patent prosecution and litigation. He also served as a mediator for small claims, landlord-tenant, private criminal complaint, and child custody cases in the Philadelphia Judicial System.

Mr. Stabler is admitted to practice in District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
