Ms. Wong-Chan, a registered patent agent in the Electronics Group, prepares and prosecutes patent applications. She has over ten years of research and engineering experience at Bell Communications Research (now Telcordia Technologies, Inc.). Ms. Wong-Chan has also been involved in inter partes review proceedings at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board for the petitioner in the area of telecommunications.
Ms. Wong-Chan has extensive engineering experience in wireless technologies and operations, and authored technical specifications for wireline and wireless network communications systems. These included network management and maintenance operations requirements to ensure quality of service, network and operations plans for emerging wireless communications services, and operations plans for implementing Personal Communications Services (PCS). She also authored plans for network surveillance and testing involving Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN), ISDN, & Common Channel Signaling. Additionally, she worked with Regional Bell Operating Company (RBOC) subject matter experts to develop generic operations requirements for wireless radio equipment in support of PCS/cellular and Wireless Local Loop. Finally, Ms. Wong-Chan led teams to develop generic operations requirements for network interconnection for Exchange Access (XA) Switched Multi-megabit Data Service (SMDS) that contributed to industry standards.
