Reserving Your Seat at the Table

As part of the 2012 Legal Marketing Association's Annual Conference, a new program focus has been created:  A Recipe for... SMORS - Smart Marketing On limited Resources, a program designed to offer solutions for the solo/small firm marketer. The speaker faculty is comprised of nationally-recognized legal marketing experts who offer best practices, hands-on case studies, and personal experiences that you can apply immediately.

This full day of programming will include a discussion by Tammy Mangan, Director of Marketing for Sterne Kessler and Marguerite Downey, Director of Communications & Client Services for Adduci, Mastriani entitled "Reserving Your Seat at the Table."  They will look closely at the strategies needed to strengthen your position within the firm and get a “seat at the table?”  This session will offer practical tips to help you take charge of your personal brand. You’ll learn how to market yourself by developing alliances and positioning your careers in order to contribute to the overall business development strategy of the firm. Using case studies, the program will focus on how to develop and implement a personal marketing plan to strengthen your professional connections and your position within your firm.  You will also have the opportunity to create an individual “elevator” statement to communicate your brand to meet the professional image you wish to convey. You will come away from this session with clear examples and key resources to improve your own professional development plan.
