The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued a design patent for the design of the glass cube entrance to Apple, Inc's underground Manhattan store near Central Park. Apple founder Steve Jobs is named as the inventor on the patent, despite three years separating his death and the issuing of this design protection.

Sterne Kessler prosecuted the design patent for the iconic apple storefront in October of 2012.
