BioReference Laboratories, Inc. Expresses Confidence in Impending Case Against Myriad Genetics

BioReference Laboratories, Inc. released a statement today announcing that Myriad Genetics has filed a lawsuit against it in the Federal District Court in Utah. The lawsuit alleges that BioReference's series of tests for inherited cancers infringes on Myriad Genetics’ intellectual property. BioReference expressed confidence in its position and indicated that the company is fully prepared to defend against the action.

The press release highlights Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox as the firm chosen to represent BioReference in this matter, and states that "the firm has represented the Company for many years and has a superior reputation in the field of intellectual property, especially in the area of genetic sequencing."  The BioReference team includes Jorge A.
