DNS Seeks 337 Probe Into IBM, Dell, Others

Data Network Storage LLC has asked the U.S. International Trade Commission to open an investigation into whether data storage products made by IBM Inc., Dell Inc., Cisco Systems Inc. and others are infringing its patent. The patent-in-suit, U.S. Patent Number 6,098,128, covers a system that receives and stores data and allows for the conversion of storage commands to and from a common format. Storage Computer Corp. is the owner of the patent, and DNS, as the exclusive licensee, has entered into 11 license deals for the patent.
