Monica Riva Talley published the second article of a six-part series in Inside Counsel on how companies can grow value in their brands by protecting their intellectual property. The article discusses how to best work with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to keep counterfeit versions of products out of the marketplace.

Counterfeiting is thought to rob U.S. businesses of $200 billion to $250 billion annually. Talley states, “If used properly, CBP can be a cost-effective weapon in a company's intellectual property protection arsenal.”
