Michael V. Messinger was quoted in a recent article published by InformationWeek. The article discusses the recent executive office changes made in efforts to stop patent "trolling." Some of these changes included establishing new resources to help inventors caught in patent disputes and requiring patent owners to include more specific details about their patents. These efforts will make it that much harder for "patent trolls" to find loopholes. Mr. Messinger mentions the importance of the new Patent Litigation Toolkit, which is now accessible on the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) website. This Toolkit offers advice to patent owners on what to do if they encounter a lawsuit.
