Prioritized Examination Track Effective May 4, 2011

The USPTO has published the final rule for “Changes to implement the Prioritized Examination Track (Track I)"

The rules are effective May 4, 2011.  A request for prioritized examination may be submitted with any original utility or plant application filed on or after May 4, 2011.  The Office is initially limiting requests for prioritized examination to a maximum of 10,000 applications during the remainder of fiscal year 2011 (which ends September 30, 2011). Download the full summary of the rule-making notice above.
