David K.S. Cornwell and Mark W. Rygiel are noted for their winning representation of Magna Electronics, Inc. in the article "PTAB Keeps Magna's Windshield Camera Patent Intact" that reports on Magna Electronics' Patent Trial & Appeal Board (PTAB) challenge against TRW Automotives.

The latter aimed to discredit a vehicle windshield camera mount patent, but the PTAB determined that TRW failed to establish unpatentability of Magna Electronics' 14 claims for their U.S. Patent No. 8,481,916 B2. The PTAB judges established that "the technology by Magna Electronics is not unpatentable and a skilled artisan would not have thought to create it based on four earlier patents."
