In December 2012, the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) requested comments about the possibility of developing a small claims court. David Cornwell authored an article in World Intellectual Property Review addressing the possible difficulties a small patents claims court would face and suggesting solutions to these problems, including rights to appeal, deterrents for frivolous cases, and adequate remedies.
