Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox is pleased to congratulate ten of its attorneys for being named to the 2015 Washington, DC Super Lawyers list. Annually, the rating service selects “Super Lawyers” and “Rising Stars” in more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Making this year’s “Super Lawyers” list are Jorge A. Goldstein, Ph.D. and Robert Greene Sterne in the intellectual property category and Mark Fox Evens and H. Keeto Sabharwal in the intellectual property litigation category; all four were also named to the list in 2014.

Notably, two attorneys are making their first appearance to the “Rising Stars” list in 2015 bringing Sterne Kessler’s total to six attorneys recognized. Michael R. Malek and Jonathan Tuminaro, Ph.D. are newcomers, the former in the IP category and the latter in the IP litigation category. Named as “Rising Stars” again this year are Nirav N. Desai, Richard P. Hadorn, Byron L. Pickard and Dennies Varughese. Desai joins Malek in the IP category, while Hadorn, Pickard and Varughese are recognized in the IP litigation category.

Super Lawyers selects attorneys using peer nominations and evaluations combined with third party research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process for the ‘Rising Stars’ list is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, with one exception: to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.
