Sterne Kessler Ranked Among Best Law Firms for Minority Attorneys and Equity Partners

  • 05.16.16

WASHINGTON, DC (May 16, 2016) – Based on a survey of over 300 U.S.-based law firms, Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox has been ranked among the top 10 firms for minority attorneys, among the top 15 firms for minority equity partners, and among the top 5 firms for Asian-American attorneys.

In releasing the report, the Law360 editors noted, "For the second straight year, Law360 has ranked the 100 top U.S. law firms for minorities, based on the firm's minority representation at the partner and nonpartner levels and its total number of minority attorneys. The firms on this list have made some headway in shaking up a stubbornly bleak picture of diversity in the legal industry. Law360's "2016 Diversity Snapshot" revealed that less than 15 percent of attorneys at U.S. law firms surveyed by Law360 are minorities. Less than 9 percent of partners at U.S. law firms are minorities."

Sterne Kessler has been consistently received high rankings for having diversity among its attorneys. Additionally, the firm is consistently voted as a "great place to work" by both attorneys and staff, as reflected in Sterne Kessler's status as a Washington Post "Top Place to Work" and numerous rankings in The Washington Business Journal's "Best Work Places."
